How can we help?
Through advocacy, education, and a comprehensive network of support, we remove barriers to behavioral health treatment by assisting individuals in locating and accessing care, providing copay assistance, and bringing educators on crisis response and mental health awareness. Additionally, our crisis dog program offers specialized support through specially trained service dogs to help professionals navigate stress and trauma in meaningful ways.

Maya and Doggie Paddles
Maya is our best good girl. She is a fully trained and certified crisis service dog, She and her handler JT are available for debriefs, assistance in crisis, or for events at your location.
Maya also knows a thing or two about water safety.

I don’t have money for a co-pay?
Okay friend. We are here to help get you through your first visit with someone who can help. We can often assist with co-pays.
Tell me more about your intake process.
We understand that you may need help right now. We are here to help you in any manner you need. If assistance is needed in an emergency situation, we have crisis resources. Otherwise, we have a short application to help us understand your needs.
How does the billing process work?
There is no billing from Second Wind for Helpers. We are a non-profit organization that will never charge for our services to Helpers.
I don’t want my chief/boss/spouse/etc to know I want help. Are you going to tell them?
No, our services are completely confidential.
Can I talk to someone from your group?
While you may speak with someone from our group. None of us are trained counselors. We are here to assist you in finding the right person in your network to help you find your path.
